TaastyCakes is an online service that connects cake designers / bakers with customers looking for custom cakes for all kinds of events.

TaastyCakes allows professionals to showcase their creations and to be contacted by customers interested in their services.

The company publishing the platform is currently being registered. Full contact details will be updated as soon as the company is officially registered.

2. Purpose of these terms

These Terms of Use set out the conditions under which users may access and use the TaastyCakes platform.

Any use of the website implies full and unreserved acceptance of these terms.

3. Access to the platform

• The platform is available free of charge to any user with internet access.
• Some features may be reserved for users who have an account.
• TaastyCakes reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue access to all or part of the platform at any time.

4. Creating an account

• Users may create an account in order to access certain features of the platform.
• When signing up, users undertake to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• Each user is responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential.

5. Services offered to cake designers

The platform allows cake designers to:

• Create a professional profile
• Showcase their creations
• Be visible on the platform
• Receive requests from customers
• Manage their requests from their personal area

An approved cake designer's professional profile is public. It displays the contact details the cake designer chooses to provide (in particular their email address and phone number), so that clients can contact them directly. The cake designer remains free to edit or remove this information from their personal dashboard.

Some features may be available through a subscription to the platform. Subscription terms may change and are set out on the platform.

6. Connecting users

TaastyCakes acts solely as a platform connecting customers with cake designers.

The platform takes no part in carrying out the services offered by cake designers. Orders, payments, communications and the terms under which services are provided are agreed directly between users.

7. Commission on orders

The free plan has no monthly subscription. During the launch period, no commission is charged on orders placed through the platform, whichever plan is chosen. This launch offer is temporary and is not a promise that the service will remain free permanently.

The total amount of the order is shown to the customer before payment. Deposits paid directly to bakers/cake designers are handled exclusively between the customer and the professional.

TaastyCakes does not collect these deposits and cannot be held liable for payments made directly between users.

The platform may offer a subscription system allowing professionals to access certain features or to increase their visibility.

8. Specific terms for courses and bookings

The provisions below apply to the courses and workshops offered on the platform.

• A course booking becomes effective once payment has been confirmed, according to the terms displayed.
• Where payment is made by deposit, the deposit is non-refundable unless the session is cancelled by the trainer.
• Rescheduling a booking may be limited (in particular in the number of reschedules allowed and the minimum notice before the session), according to the rules displayed at the time of booking.
• If the participant cancels, the refund conditions that apply are those shown at the time of booking and in the customer area.
• If the trainer cancels, the participant is entitled to a rescheduled session or a refund, according to the terms shown on the platform.
• Participants must provide accurate information (name, email, phone number) in order to receive confirmations and practical information.
• Participants are responsible for attending on the booked date and at the booked time.
• The trainer is responsible for the course content, the organisation of the session and the practical conditions in which it takes place.

TaastyCakes acts as a technical booking intermediary and connects participants with trainers. Delivery of the course itself remains the responsibility of the trainer.

9. Liability

TaastyCakes cannot be held liable for:

• The quality of the services provided by cake designers
• Communications between users
• Payments or disputes that may arise between the parties

Each user is responsible for the commitments they make with another user.

10. Content published on the platform

Users may publish photos, descriptions and professional information.

Users undertake to publish content that is accurate, not misleading and compliant with the law.

TaastyCakes reserves the right to remove any content deemed inappropriate or contrary to these terms.

11. Suspension or deletion of accounts

TaastyCakes reserves the right to suspend or delete a user account in the event of:

• Breach of these terms
• Inappropriate content
• Fraudulent use of the platform

12. Personal data

Information collected while using the platform may be used to:

• Connect users with one another
• Improve the services offered
• Ensure the platform runs properly
• Display, on an approved cake designer's public profile, the contact details they choose to provide

Personal data is processed in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.

13. Changes to these terms

TaastyCakes reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Users will be informed of any changes via the platform.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the use of the platform will be submitted to the competent courts.
