Taasty Cakes guide
How much does a birthday cake cost?
The price of a birthday cake mainly depends on the number of servings, how detailed the decoration is and how much time the baker needs to make it.
The short answer
There is no single price for a personalised birthday cake. The quote mostly depends on the number of servings, the flavours, the decoration, the lead time and whether you need delivery. To compare bakers fairly, ask for a detailed quote that lists each item.
What affects the price
The size, the number of servings, the flavours, the covering, the decorations and any sugarpaste details can all change the price. A precise request helps the baker give you an accurate quote.
How to stay within budget
Share your guest numbers, theme, favourite flavours and a rough budget from the start. You can then compare different styles of cake and decide which options matter most to you.
When to order
For a highly personalised cake, contact a baker several weeks ahead. Lead times can be longer during busy periods.
